Episode 69 Hour Two
October 21, 2020

The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch Hour One on Monday and Hour Two on Wednesday.

I welcomed back to the show Jessie Lavoie of Canopy Growth, but this time to chat a lot about the Storz & Bickel line of vaporizers. The last time Jesse joined us we discussed his personal constitutional challenge for the right to grow four plants at home like the rest of Canada. He gave us an update, then we dove into his new long title and job description.

While we were chatting about the vapes we were able to demonstrate the best way to use the Volcano Hybrid and where to get replacement bags. That's when Jesse had me near speechless with what he told me was on the way to me. I still can't believe it. You'll hear or see the surprise in my face, and I can't wait!!!! Jesse is now also responsible for getting Martha Stewart's CBD line out in the USA and with the name recognition it's going well. What other celebrities do you think will get into cannabis?

Chris Ianson is our educator and the Manager of the Jasper Avenue location of Nova Cannabis in Edmonton. Each week we explore a different strain and make recommendations for what level of cannabis user it fits with based on their level of experience. This week it is BC Tahoe OG from Flowr. Yes, he e is missing on purpose, but nothing else is missing with this bud. Some smart people behind it and they do it well. We had some fun with the different smells the heavy Kush strain that comes in just under 20% THC. It's an indica dominant hybrid that hit hard initially, but had me settling into a nice relaxing buzz. There is some award winning work behind the breeding of this one.
