The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch us every Wednesday.

Levi Hornak came out to the studio to discuss the Slash from Stone Smiths and more. The vape pen for concentrates really looks slick and functions well. The company is small but building in the Edmonton area and we discussed future accessories from them. Also the inspiration for this device is from a famous Hollywood movie, and it's a story I think you'll like.

David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. It was a good news/bad news segment where the stories of bankruptcy and excessive jail time made up the bad while medical research on Colon Cancer and long term care facilities are showing promise.

Chris Ianson is our educator and the Manager of the Jasper Avenue location of Nova Cannabis in Edmonton. We explored Ice Cream Cake from 7 Acres Craft Collective. It's a fairly new strain created this millennium with a THC percentage of 23.7 and it's a strong indica. We'll give you the Who-What-When is it good for.

Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co brings the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis. Can CBD have an impact on Covid? Research being done in Alberta could shed some light on this and we chatted about a BC craft cannabis co-op.

Our Cannabis Question is about your favourite energizing strain while the Cannabis Character is one played by Stacy Keach and in Weed Word of the Day it was one about big joints and one about breeding. Chime in to win a cool Stone Smiths prize pack.

I found out about his favourite strains, accessories and who he'd like to get high with ... hint #97. It was a lot of fun getting to know his cannabis history.   Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or Soundcloud or here

The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch us every Wednesday.

This week we dove into cooking with cannabis thanks to Red Seal Chef Daniel Huber who is also the Manager of the St. Albert Green Rock Cannabis location. We chatted about his background, common mistakes, pro tips, and the best dosing method I have heard yet when it comes to baking. Daniel and Green Rock Cannabis offer educational programs in store and I also asked him what foods and strains he loves to use, plus how to get your cannabis from flower to a useable cooking ingredient.

David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Some new filtered joints are on the way, while a couple of companies in the Okanagan are growing rapidly and some relief for those in the cannabis industry south of the border.

Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co brings the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis. It was all about education this week as in our opinions there isn't enough out there. The Budtenders you meet in stores are amazing, but there needs to be more places where people can learn about the plant.

Chris Ianson is our educator and the Manager of the Jasper Avenue location of Nova Cannabis in Edmonton. We explored Chocolop from Whistler Cannabis. An original 10 when it comes to cannabis and man is this bud beautiful. Almost a pure sativa that is very good for productivity.

The Cannabis Question is about paraphernalia while the Cannabis Character is Sir Smoke a Lot from Half Baked and in Weed Word of the Day I define Bogart and Decarboxylation.

The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It’s not just about getting high, it’s about getting healthy. Catch us every Wednesday.

This week I spoke with medical patient and former hockey player Rob Frid who at a young age is battling Parkinsons and Dystonia and using cannabis to help him get through day to day life. He's also trying to help make it affordable for others as medicinal cannabis can be an expense some can't afford. But with help from Grow Gear Rob and Adam Cameron are hoping to help people grow their own.

David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Good news for producers and consumers in BC that could lead to more canna-tourism, while Manitoba is looking at restaurants and spas when it comes to cannabis and Democrats and Republicans are liking legalization down south. We also discussed medical cannabis on the London Stock Market and CBD cafes in Hong Kong.

Chris Ianson is our educator and the Manager of the Jasper Avenue location of Nova Cannabis in Edmonton. We dove into LA Kush Cake from Natural History under the Atlas Growers umbrella. It has a lot of Animal Mints in it's lineage and a rare terpene. The company itself has amazing plans and are doing great things already.

Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co brings the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis. We discussed where Canada sits in the world CBD market, new Made By vape pens from BRNT and Valens as well as some big brains and money investing into Dutchie, with a green stamp of success.

The Cannabis Question is what you use cannabis for medically, if you're comfortable discussing it. The Cannabis Character is Mr. Hand from Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Dank and Bubbler were on the lesson plan in Weed Words of the Day.

They had the very first retail license in Albert when legalization happened, but Green Rock Cannabis didn't open until June. This week Director of Retail for Green Rock Cannabis Carrie Cemka joined me to tell the story of how being patient paid off in a big way for Green Rock Cannabis. Why and how they focus on the female consumer and how they are providing education in store. David Wylie of the oz joined me for This Week in Cannabis News where we discussed a terrible judgment over medical marijuana is happening, Canopy Growth facing a massive lawsuit, Color and Saturday branding as well as some dabbing advice. Chris Ianson is our Educator and the Manager of Nova Cannabis Jasper Ave and he drops in studio each week for What's That Strain?!?! We explored Sunset Sherbet from Citizen Stash, some of the more colourful nugs I've seen in a while. Tasty smells, great terpene profile and it hits hard and fast. Make sure you have some experience before you dance with this one, but if you do, enjoy the ride. Malka Labell of the Green Generation co brought the latest bud-biz-buzz on The Business of Cannabis where we chatted about Shoppers Drug Mart lending a hand when it comes to cannabis information and delivering medical cannabis to Canadians, CannTerp is in the spotlight in Changemakers and green juice in What it Means to be Green. Episode 63

It's odd that in every other province (Quebec government is appealing the case they lost) except Manitoba you can grow up to four cannabis plants per household. One man, followed by a growing list of supporters is hoping to change that. Jesse Lavoie is launching a constitutional challenge against the law banning recreational growing, which comes with a fine of more than $2,500. Jesse explained the reasons why home growing isn't allowed (hint, they don't make sense as you are allowed to grow for medicinal purposes) and where he's at with the challenge. He also works for Storz & Bickel and gave a great tip for Volcano users. David Wylie of the oz and I dissected the latest stories on This Week in Cannabis News where the restructuring continues at Aurora, some are trying to make medicinal cannabis easier to understand, a legal retail store owner is walking back her comments about the illicit market and we discuss products we love right now. Chris Ianson is our Educator and he's also the Manager of the Nova Cannabis Jasper Avenue location and we explored North 40 Colada from Farmstead in What's That Strain?!?! This stuff looked beautiful, from the greens to orange and purple flecks and it tastes as fruity and sweet as it sounds. There is some hypocrisy going on with the name though, you aren't allowed to call it Pina Colada which is what the strain really is, but White Russian is allowed? Anyway, it's grown using Aeorponics - another new term to learn - and it's grown well. Malka Labell of The Green Generation Co Brough the goods on The Business of Cannabis where we wondered why more Canadians and politicians aren't getting on the cannabis train when it comes to boosting the economy and creating jobs? Our Cannabis Question is about what your go to munchies are, the Cannabis Character is Melanie Ralston from Jackie Brown and I explored the term Viper in Weed Word of the Day!! Listen on Spotify or Apple Podcasts or Soundcloud or here

While he fights to be able to grow in Manitoba we chatted about his first time, his celebrity session and his bucket list place to get high. Plus favourite strains, accessories and consumption method. I loaded the One Hitter and Jesse took it down!

They will be focusing quite a bit on seeds, which is great for home growers!!! It has so much trichome coverage it looks like it's covered in frost or dust, simply caked. It's a very unique strain bred by Habitat themselves. Malka Labell of The Green Generation co dropped in for The Business of Cannabis where the wondered why one American analyst is trashing Canadian cannabis stocks and you can take the Canadian Cannabis Stock Challenge at her website. Our Cannabis Question is what you do with your already vaped bud while our Cannabis Character is Sam McPherson played by Tim Meadows in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story and it was 'hotbox' and 'Cannabis Cup' in Weed Words of the Day. Why is it your buddy can eat every edible and not seem high, but you can't stop acting like Cheech and Chong? It's all in your genes, and not your acid wash pair with custom ripped holes. David Krantz is an Epigenetic Performance Coach and has developed a DNA test that can tell you a lot about your relationship with cannabis and particularly with THC. Is it a relationship you should increase, change or even stop in some cases? Fine tuning your cannabis use, especially for those new to the plant could be life changing. David Wylie of the oz and it's brand new website brought the latest in This Week in Cannabis News where Canadian politicians are praising the advice from Seth Rogan to stay in and get high. We also discussed why kids and cannabis don't mix (you would think it's obvious, but some are learning the hard way) and the future of legalization in the U.S.A. with a pro cannabis Vice-President nominee. Plus one website has ranked the top ten provinces when it comes to cannabis in Canada. Chris Ianson is our educator as well as the Manager of Nova Cannabis Jasper Avenue in Edmonton and we explored Tropicana Cookies form Ignite. The cannabis is nice, and the story of the man behind Ignite is very polarizing. Malka Labell of the Green Generation Co has the latest Bud-Biz-Buzz on The Business of Cannabis where we discussed why celebrities are getting out of the Canadian cannabis scene and how Aquaponics could be the future of growing cannabis and at the same time solving food insecurity in areas drastically impacted by it. It was great to meet and chat with everyone and I put together the conversations we had in this episode.
